Message of the Day from Rev. Mary White
Good Afternoon and Blessings
There was a time in our not- so- distant past that the marketplace was a venue where people would take a morning or an afternoon to enjoy the comradery in communion with others. We would share opinions on prices or give suggestions on the best way to prepare brussel sprouts. Gradually as more large grocery stores began to take over, we would spend part of our shopping time sharing conversations in the aisles or the produce department. Now, there isn’t much talking; people go into the stores make their purchases and leave. I noticed today that the benches have been removed from the local mall. We may have to sacrifice today so that in the future, we can come together again to have a more interpersonal grocery shopping experience.
Keep safe, Keep connected.
Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.

FEELING JOY
We discover the beauty of life over and over again. Our experience of creation is intensified by practising presence and wonder. We feel gratitude for all the beauty and complexity that is creation around us. More and more appears as holy to us: the goodness of ordinary people, a moment of silence during a walk through the woods, the loyalty my dog shows me. We appreciate and enjoy all that we have for free – it is the antidote to the frenzy of consumerism. (To say that we are content with what we have is rather revolutionary today. The forces that encourage us continually to consume more and more would call it dangerous.)
Prayer Of The Day
Empowering Creator
We pray for all of creation that its beauty will remain for future generations to appreciate and enjoy.
We pray for those who have little but will share what they can with others. May they not lose hope and continue to serve as they are able.
We pray that during these days of physical distancing people will discover new ways to embrace the world around them.
May we experience a deeper meaning in the presence of our Higher Power who through Love satisfies our desires.
May we understand that the perpetual purchasing of material items that we covet does not fill the void we may be experiencing.
We pray this in the name of the Light Of The World.
Amen
