Welcome Each Other With Love
We are warmly invited to join Richard Bott (National Moderator for United Church) for an online video Worship Service.
Message from Rev. Mary White
Good Afternoon and Blessings:
When the wind blows, I am reminded of the Spirit gliding over the earth. Breathing life into all she touches. A fresh breath making the trees come alive.
I watched the Moderator’s service this morning and my Spirit was lifted.
Next Sunday March 29th, we plan to stream Powell River United Church service on line.
Because of COVID 19, visitations to the hospital have been suspended for all visitors except immediate family. This leaves we who provide spiritual pastoral care unable to fulfill our duty to serve all. This is especially disturbing because those who are sick are the most vulnerable and in need of comfort and prayer. Let us keep them in our daily prayers.
Keep safe, Keep connected. https://powellriverunitedchurch.org
Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.
Rev. Mary
Luke 11:9-13 The Message (MSG)
“Here’s what I’m saying:
Ask and you’ll get;
Seek and you’ll find;
Knock and the door will open.
“Don’t bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This is not a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we’re in. If your little boy asks for a serving of fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate? If your little girl asks for an egg, do you trick her with a spider? You wouldn’t think of such a thing. And don’t you think the One who conceived you in Love will give the Holy Spirit when you ask?”
Prayer Of The Day
Healing One,
We are grateful to have a strong foundation in our community of faith.
We are grateful for all those who work on the front lines. Keep them free from this virus that consumes us all and keep them providing life saving care.
We are a hopeful people because you penetrate our fatigue with hope during times of uncertainty.
In our thanks for your presence we pray for strength in the name of the One we refer to as Healer and Friend.
Amen
