Good Evening and Blessings
Today has been a busy one as I prepare for Sunday service.
I had to go out last evening and as I drove around, I noticed the many signs throughout Powell River reminding us all to respect physical distances.
I realized that there are many we need to be thankful for in our community and throughout the province. Many people are expressing thanks for hospital workers by going out on their balcony and yard to bang pots and clap their hands to let them know that they are appreciated and prayers are sent their way. I was told today that some are working as long as sixteen hours a day. The service they provide for us is a true calling that is demonstrated in their dedication.
We need to do our part in helping our community and the hospital workers by respecting physical distances.
Keep safe, Keep connected.

Romans 12:1-2 (ERV)
So I beg you, brothers and sisters, because of the great mercy God has shown us, offer your lives as a living sacrifice—an offering that is only for God and is pleasing. Considering what God has done, it is only right that you should worship in this way. Don’t change yourselves to be like the people of this world, but let God change you inside with a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to understand and accept what God wants for you. You will be able to know what is good and pleasing, and what is perfect.
Prayer Of The Day
Giving Creator we are grateful for the many different gifts you bestow on humankind. They are as diverse as there are people.
Thank you for calling those to science and medicine and we appreciate that they answered the call.
May the skills of all those in the caring profession be used to the best of their ability in returning all to good health.
We are all filled with the Spirit, full of hope for an end to a virus that joins all people throughout the world.
May we find joys that sustain us as we keep hope in our heart.
Amen
