Given an Opportunity

Greetings and Blessings

I do appreciate all the jokes and music I’ve been receiving mostly from Youtube. They brighten my day.

I managed to bake bread without incident and it is delicious. Another day I will try blueberry grunt which is a yummy Nova Scotia dessert. Being raised by hunters and gatherers---my father hunted for our annual meat supply and my mother loved picking berries and clam digging—we often had rabbit stew or roast deer for the main course followed by blueberry grunt for dessert.

Tomorrow, I am looking forward to sharing communion with you once again. Please have your elements of bread, juice/wine, a light, a bible and cross ready for the celebration.

2 Corinthians 6:11-13

I can’t tell you how much I long for you to enter this wide-open, spacious life. We didn’t fence you in. The smallness you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren’t small, but you’re living them in a small way. I’m speaking as plainly as I can and with great affection. Open up your lives. Live openly and expansively!

Prayer Of The Day

Spirit God,

Your presence within opens our desire to live our lives to the fullest. Some of us are having difficulty living openly and expansively when we are secluded from the routines of life that we had become accustomed. Help us to give up that which we clutch close to our chest, to let go, and be accepting of changes that are beyond our control.

Help us to understand that we are now given an opportunity to broaden our knowledge, to learn new skills and be creative.

With grateful hearts we pray in the name of the One responsible for all life.

Amen
