Small Things Count

Good Afternoon and Blessings

As I was researching hymns this morning, I came across these words from Voices United # 361“Small Things Count

“Small things count so Jesus said:

cups of water, crumbs of bread,

small things done because we’re kind

count as big things in God’s mind.”

This is a reminder that what we do for each other is enough. There is much hope to be found in our serving with love. We know who has our back and through our Higher Power, we are able, without fear, to accomplish much and therefore give as we are able. During this physically distancing, a phone call to a friend or neighbour gives the huge message that we are caring people of God. And a call can give hope to someone who may be feeling alone.

Keep safe, Keep connected.

Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.

Romans 5:4-5

Hope through our Higher Power

There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever is to come next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling short changed. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!

Prayer Of The Day

Generous Giver

You have blessed us with an abundance of gifts and each day through you our expectations are renewed for better times ahead.

We will not be discouraged as we continue to look to you in hope.

We ask that you continue to embrace with your healing powers all the essential front line workers. Keep them healthy so that they are able to continue to serve with Love. We pray this in Christ’s name.

Amen
