Good Afternoon and Blessings
In this contemporary era of global informational sharing, the world has shrunk and is at our doorsteps.
When making life choices, being informed is very important because it helps us to make better decisions.
I wonder are we making decisions based on our gifted abilities or are we comparing ourselves and even our children with others from different countries. I have heard someone say that “they are going to take over”.
This to me is a highly racial comment. Take over what? I have a sense that we will soon be living even more globally, and our young people will have a better grasp of this because they have grown up with informational sharing. With love and acceptance, we will begin to realize that working together instead of competing, will benefit everyone.

Galatians 5:22-23, 25-26 (MSG)
But what happens when we live God’s way? God brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.
Since this is the kind of life we have chosen, the life of the Spirit, let us make sure that we do not just hold it as an idea in our heads or a sentiment in our hearts, but work out its implications in every detail of our lives. That means we will not compare ourselves with each other as if one of us were better and another worse. We have far more interesting things to do with our lives. Each of us is an original.
Prayer Of The Day
Guiding Spirit,
You breathe and bring life into our world and we are grateful for the abundance of life choices we are gifted.
Relieve us from our human tendency to compare with others ourselves and what we have. Keep us focussed on the fact that we are made original and it is impossible to be compared. Help us to remain aware that we are each gifted and all that we offer is equally important.
We pray this in the name of the Creator who gifted us the Greatest Gift of all. Amen.
