Remaining Faithful with Reverend Mary White
Something To Ponder
For our own wellbeing, boundaries are necessary especially when faced with someone who is draining us of our positive energy. It seems that no matter how much our wisdom is meaningful, there are those who only focus on their negativisms. For me, it has been helpful to understand that their outlook on life belongs to them and it is best for me to remain in my authentic self. Sometimes, all we can do is listen.
For most, it’s difficult to walk away from someone who is suffering from life’s challenges. This is the time when we are called to be fully present and hold them in our hearts.
Stay safe. Stay connected.
Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.

Reading Proverbs 9:10 (MSG)
If you reason with a scornful pessimist, you’ll get slapped in the face; confront bad behavior and get a kick in the shins. So don’t waste your time on the misinformed; all you’ll get for your pains is abuse. But if you correct those who care about life, that’s different—they’ll love you for it! Save your breath for the wise—they’ll be wiser for it; tell good people what you know—they’ll profit from it. Skilled living gets its start in the awe-inspiring awareness of life from knowing a Loving God. It’s through me, Lady Wisdom, that your life deepens, and the years of your life ripen. Live wisely and wisdom will permeate your life; mock life and life will mock you.
Prayer
Fountain of Wisdom
May we share hope with those who are struggling
rather than hardened hearts,
may we bring joy into the gloominess of the days of those we meet,
may we offer welcome to the forgotten instead of slamming the door,
may we continue to love those who make it so hard
to hope for better days,
may we continue to share grace with the grumblers
and persist in the work of peace, when everyone around us tells us to simply give up.
Amen.
