Message from Light of God Ministry • Reverend Mary White
GIVE ❤️ GRATUITOUSLY
Your love, insofar as it is from God, is permanent. You can claim the permanence of your love as a gift from God. And you can give that permanent love to others. When others stop loving you, you do not have to stop loving them. On a human level, changes might be necessary, but on the level of the divine, you can remain faithful to your love.

YOUNG FAMILY FUN WITH BRENDA PIELLE
Dear Friends:
Valentines Day is a time when children delight in giving cards to friends and sharing special treats with each other. It is a wonderful opportunity to remind our young people of the importance of sharing God's love with the people around us.
The Parent Tot video has a Valentine story about a Llama, as well as these songs: I Love My Mom and Dad, It's About Love, Jesus in the Morning, and Jesus Loves Me.
The Family Fun video has the following songs: Like a Rock, You've Got a Friend, A Point of Light, God Loves You, My Love Colours Outside the Lines, and a Valentines Day story.
Enjoy witnessing how sweet our children and youth can be when they express those special feelings of love and friendship.

Reading ~ Law of Love
From “Beyond Words” by Frederick Buechner
Jesus said that the one supreme law is that we are to love God with all our hearts, minds, and souls, and our neighbours as ourselves. “On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets” is the way he put it (Matthew 22:40), meaning that all lesser laws are to be judged on the basis of that supreme one. In any given situation, the lesser law is to be obeyed if it is consistent with the law of love and superseded if it isn’t.
By loving God and your neighbours, Jesus doesn’t mean loving as primarily a feeling. Instead, he seems to mean that whether or not any feeling is involved, loving God means honouring and obeying and staying in constant touch with God, and loving your neighbors means acting in their best interests no matter what, even if personally you can’t stand them.
Dishwasher Fundraising Update
Once again, thank you for your generosity.
The service men will be in on February 16th to assess the full scope of the work including installation, and it is expected that delivery of the dishwasher is 2 weeks from the time our order is placed.
It is hoped we will have a fully functioning kitchen again by mid March thanks to you!
Poem ~ The Awakening
by James Weldon Johnson
I dreamed that I was a rose
That grew beside a lonely way,
Close by a path none ever chose,
And there I lingered day by day.
Beneath the sunshine and the show’r
I grew and waited there apart,
Gathering perfume hour by hour,
And storing it within my heart,
Yet, never knew,
Just why I waited there and grew.
I dreamed that you were a bee
That one day gaily flew along,
You came across the hedge to me,
And sang a soft, love-burdened song.
You brushed my petals with a kiss,
I woke to gladness with a start,
And yielded up to you in bliss
The treasured fragrance of my heart;
And then I knew
That I had waited there for you.

Is Your Love Constant Like God’s Love?
Prayer
All Encompassing Heart,
Where there is impatience, let me bring kindness. Where there is strife, let me bring harmony. Where there is hurt, let me bring healing. Where there is rigidity, let me bring openness. Where there is judgment, let me bring understanding.
O Wide and Spacious Love, turn me toward your unconditional acceptance. I seek to be a vessel of your great love. Let me carry your love into all parts of my life and pour it forth willingly and generously.
