Our Higher Power

Good Evening and Blessings

When I was a child, we had no babysitters because my parents took us with them whenever they went out. I recall going to the drive in theater where my younger sister and brother would curl up in the back seat to sleep. We would place an external speaker inside the car on the driver’s side window. I don’t remember the movies we watched but the whole experience remains with me.

For those of us old enough to remember those experiences, drive-in theaters may be returning.

I wish to remind you that I will be on a staycation from May 27th until June 16th.

Keep safe, keep connected.

Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.

Rev. Mary

Mark 6:30-34   (MSG)

The apostles then rendezvoused with Jesus and reported on all that they had done and taught. Jesus said, “Come off by yourselves; let’s take a break and get a little rest.” For there was constant coming and going. They didn’t even have time to eat.

So they got in the boat and went off to a remote place by themselves. Someone saw them going and the word got around. From the surrounding towns people went out on foot, running, and got there ahead of them. When Jesus arrived, he saw this huge crowd. At the sight of them, his heart broke—like sheep with no shepherd they were. He went right to work teaching them.

Prayer Of The Day

Gentle Comforter,

It seems that we have had to give up so much because of the COVID -19. Help us to cling to that which is most important.

We have the presence of the Creator, the love of the Sustainer and the life-force of Spirit.

May we continue to rest in and trust in our Higher Power.

We pray this in the name of the Triune God.

Amen
