Good Afternoon and Blessings
Have you ever been greeted by a three year old who hasn’t seen you for a few days? The excitement they display at seeing you demonstrates pure love. This is the love of God showing through a little child.
We all have this love within but somewhere along life’s path, we learn to be cautious about demonstrating our love for others. We are taught to distrust those who look different from ourselves or who have different life experiences. We are all experiencing and are affected by this pandemic which I believe can bring us closer. As humans, we now all have in common something tangible. Hopefully we can generalize this occurrence to all our relations. I thank God for the young people in our world who are not afraid to demonstrate. Let us all be brave enough to come together in solidarity and love.

1 John 4: 7-12 (MSG) • God Is Love
My beloved friends, let us continue to love each other since love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and experiences a relationship with God. The person who refuses to love doesn’t know the first thing about God, because God is love—who you can’t know if you don’t love. This is the kind of love we are talking about—not that we once upon a time loved God, but that God loves us.
My dear, dear friends, if God loved us so purely, we certainly ought to love each other. No one has seen God, ever. But if we love one another, God dwells deeply within us, and love becomes complete in us—perfect love!
PRAYER OF THE DAY
Loving Creator
Our world is changing and we at times find it difficult to let go of traditions and our way of life which we find comfort in. Help us, we pray, to accept that which is for the good of all humanity. Embrace us with your love so that we can project like little children your pure love to all we meet.
We pray this in the name of the one who continues to demonstrate Love for all creation.
Amen.
