The Newcomers, Alaa and Mo, are expecting their first baby. We were planning to have a combined congregation baby shower for them but that has been interrupted by the COVID 19 situation. They have plenty of baby items collected. So, in leu of a baby shower, we are asking for financial gifts for the purchase of a stroller, a car seat, and a small crib. 2 Corinthians 8:1-4
[The Offering ] Now, friends, I want to report on the surprising and generous ways in which God is working in the churches in Macedonia province. Fierce troubles came down on the people of those churches, pushing them to the very limit. The trial exposed their true colors: They were incredibly happy, though desperately poor. The pressure triggered something totally unexpected: an outpouring of pure and generous gifts. I was there and saw it for myself. They gave offerings of whatever they could—far more than they could afford!—pleading for the privilege of helping out in the relief of those in need.
Prayer Of The Day
Gracious Giver
You remain faithful in blessing us with abundant gifts and we are grateful for all that we receive. Continue to prompt us to share with those in need a portion of all that we have been given. Help us to be a blessing to others in our giving. In Christ’s name, hear our prayer as we offer that which we are able.
