Message of the Day from Reverend Mary White
Good Evening and Blessings
I offer today’s readings and prayer to our daughter, Kendra, whose biological brother, Kyle Richardson, age 31 died recently.
I offer prayers to all who have lost loved ones during this past year:
We Are Wonderfully Made (Ps 139:14)
From: Ruth Burgess. “Saying Goodbye.”
We are made up
of stardust and stories
of warmth and wonder
of blood and bread.
We are made up
of seeds and sinews
of hope and harvest
of living and dead.
We are made up
of genes and memories
of tears and laughter
of bones and breath.
We are made up
of God and glory
of love and questions
of life and death.
Keep safe, Keep connected.
Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.

Reading • Psalm 23 (TLB)
Because God is my Shepherd, I have everything I need!
He lets me rest in the meadow grass and leads me beside the quiet streams. He gives me new strength. He helps me do what honors him the most.
Even when walking through the dark valley of death I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me, guarding, guiding all the way.
You provide delicious food for me in the presence of my enemies. You have welcomed me as your guest, blessings overflow!
Your goodness and unfailing kindness shall be with me all of my life, and afterwards I will live with you forever in your home.
Prayer
Spirit of Gentleness
You surround us through our gains and losses, our highs and lows, our mountains and valleys.
Comfort us with your healing embrace during our valley times and help us be aware of your presence during our mountain experiences.
May we get up and go forth on the journey before us,
knowing that wherever we are led, life is our path toward home.
May we continue our life travels in faith, in hope and in love. We pray this in the name of the One who journeys with us.
Amen
