Devotional Message from Rev. Mary White
Good Afternoon and Blessings,
Happy Ramadan to our sisters and brothers of Islam.
Spring, a time to observe and experience resurrection and renewal all around us. This is my favourite season because it is filled with hope. Longer days of sunshine lifts the Spirit and new life is witnessed throughout our communities. We joyfully make our way out to the garden, to clear away the debris left by the previous season. We check the workings of the lawn mower, cut the grass and take in the green scents that fill the air.
Spring, the season when Love is abundant.
Keep safe, Keep connected.
Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.
Rev. Mary

– Excerpt From: Ruth Burgess “Spring”
Earth stirred in her sleep,
dreams of nothingness fading phantoms.
The first shafts of April sun awoke her.
She yawned
and thousands of hibernating creatures
felt the tremor and knew it was time.
She stretched
and tired limbs of trees
felt sap rising and new buds bursting.
Earth shook the last flakes of snow
from her hair and eyelashes.
Snowdrops and bluebells sprang where they fell.
She whistled
and crowds of birds chorused her song,
harmonising, improvising, improving.
She laughed
and springs, streams and rivers tumbled
with frothing energy.
Tiny vibrations of joy filled her spirit.
Earth pulled on her green, daisy-studded waistcoat,
caught her reflection in the still lake
and whistled again.
Laughing loudly
she swaggered off
all set for her date with Spring.
Prayer
Creating Creator
Thank you for Spring, the songs gifted from birds, the warm sun on our face, the squirrels running up and down the garden trees, and the bright yellow flowers blooming for our pleasure. May we look upon this renewal from the eyes of the child within and observe your earthly resurrection with awe. Keep us in Love and bless us this day, this night and always.
Amen
