Eyes of Love

Message from Light of God Ministry • Reverend Mary White

Something to Contemplate…

During our faith journey, most have had an aha moment, an experience of knowing that there is a Cosmic Spirit more powerful than we are capable of understanding. Since the beginning of my memory, I have been aware of a presence surrounding and shielding me. I give credit to this presence for my optimistic perspective that is very much a part of my personality. It’s effortless for me not to allow offences towards me or negative feelings to get a hold on me. Although, like all people, my life has its mountain and valley encounters, they do not control me. Observing the world through eyes of Love, although at first requires a conscious effort, is a skill worth striving for because we as well as those around us are the resulting beneficiaries.

With Love,
Rev. Mary

Excerpt from Power for Life: Inspirational Guidance for Daily Living

God, what would you have me say and do today?

Give up. Let go of holding on to grudges, anger, or negative feelings. Give up holding on to the force of ego that only weakens your whole being. Take a deep breath and let go. Being able to do this is indicative of your true nature and highest self. Keep letting go, giving up, releasing, and breathing out as negative energies float away from you. You will be tested in this, so be strong in your commitment. This is how spiritual growth happens. As you let go of your darkness, you will uncover my divine light shining forth beauty, kindness, joy, and love – and waiting for you to shine forth today.

Poem: Accident

Excerpt from “Colliding with God” by Richard Skinner

Colliding with God, and wearing no seat belt, he suffered extensive injuries to his life.

They say he is not the same man since the accident.

God, too, did not escape unscathed, but received nasty wounds to his hands and feet, and a deep laceration in his side.

His condition is said to be critical, and a full recovery is unlikely.

Neither party is covered by insurance.

Prayer

Guiding Spirit

You embrace us at unexpected times, which we recognize when we are at our most life vulnerable. May we be open to your presence during all the mountains and valleys of our existence. Fill us with your Light of integrity, purity of heart, humility, faithfulness, and love. We pray for the strength of the One who withstood human judgement and abuse.

This we pray. And so be it.

Amen
