Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-spirited People
On June 7th some members of our Church joined the community march in support of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-spirited People.
The event was attended by well over 200 people who met at City Hall and marched along Marine Ave to Willingdon Beach, where a vigil was held.
As allies to indigenous communities, we believe that more coverage of this important event should have taken place.
We feel it is important that all Canadians bear witness to these important issues. Raising people’s awareness helps to inform and educate. Thank you to the Peak for publishing an article to raise more awareness within our community.
