These workshops open participants to fresh vistas of life and self. They use breathing techniques, imagination, stretches of body and stretches of mind. Also allegories, mythologies and archetypes. They are participatory, joyful and open up possibilities for fresh choices in life.

Marianthi Bio

Marianthi has worked and carried out workshops in many countries. She is now settled in Powell River. Her main work revolves around expansion of human perception and relief of physical pain. For these she applies an integrated approach of various world traditions, body oriented practices, western therapies that address a somatic and mental approach to healing. She has also studied Yoga under the tutelage of Swamis Muktananda and Chidvilasananda, Dr. N. Sasikumar and T. Nandakumar, Ayurveda through the Ayurvedic Institute in New Mexico and Savita Patel in England, as well as Sufism, under the tutelage of Adnan Sarhan. Her studies include ancient concepts of wellness from cultures where she lived. Miarianthi (also known by her nickname of Mars and her spiritual name of Sarayu) works in myofascial release, having trained during the 1970's in the Postural Integration Institute of San Francisco, California, founded by Jack Painter who combined Rolfing and Bioenergetics in his teachings of the human structure. She is also a consultant in Urban and Regional Planning with a Master's degree from the University of British Columbia.
