We Grasp the Unknown

Good Afternoon and Blessings

Hopefully you managed to get outdoors on this gorgeous Tuesday. As I sit on my deck, with a hot chai tea, I hear people in my neighbourhood mowing their lawns.  It was good to have yesterday off. It gave me an opportunity to do some knitting and….

well I finally cut my hair. And neither the cats nor Grant would be still enough for me to practice. So the internet was a good place for me to learn. You’ll have to tune to meditation to see and critique.

Notes for this week,

---Plan to join Meditation on Wednesday at 7:30pm. More information is coming soon

---Sunday April 19th is Humour Sunday so I expect you all to dress with a sense of humour –get out of your lounge wear and dress silly

Also send me some jokes and I will share some of them during the service.

Keep safe, Keep connected.

Psalm 139: 7-12 (The Message Bible)

Is there anyplace I can go to avoid your Spirit? to be out of your sight? If I climb to the sky, you’re there! If I go underground, you’re there! If I flew on morning’s wings to the far western horizon, You’d find me in a minute— you’re already there waiting! Then I said to myself, “Oh, God even sees me in the dark! At night I’m immersed in the light!” It’s a fact: darkness isn’t dark to you; night and day, darkness and light, they’re all the same to you.

Prayer of the Day

Comforting God

With the strength of the Spirit within, we continue the journey through this pandemic. Not knowing the outcome, we are reassured that our faith will be stronger and our love for you and our neighbours will persevere.

We are learning to swim what sometimes seems against the current. We grasp the unknown, the misunderstood, the untruths and our imagination strays.

May you remind us that we have nothing to fear, for you are on this journey with us. You know our every thought and it is through the Spirit, we are comforted and calmed.

As we adapt to a different lifestyle, help us to flow with the current. In the name of the One who calmed the storms, we pray.

Amen
