Another Life Adventure

Message and Prayer of the Day from Rev. Mary White

Good Morning and Blessings

We all have had life experiences that have caused pain and suffering. These incidents have provided us with the maturity to realize that we can survive, with the help of our Higher Power, any situation that confronts us. Yes, the present pandemic is an event that is new to us all. But having successfully come through other encounters that can be described as unpleasant, surely we can survive and get through this.

In my optimistic perspective on life, I view this as another life adventure. And I am excited to see what changes will come from this occurrence. There is something to be learned from all our experiences, this is life!  So, let us continue to have hope and faith in a God who is pure Love.

Keep safe, Keep connected.

Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.

Psalm 42:4-8 (MSG)

These are the things I go over and over, emptying out the pockets of my life. I was always at the head of the worshipping crowd, right out in front, leading them all, eager to arrive and worship, shouting praises, singing thanksgiving — celebrating, all of us. God’s feast!

Why are you down in the dumps, dear soul? Why are you crying the blues? Fix my eyes on God — soon I’ll be praising again. God puts a smile on my face. My God!

When my soul is in the dumps, I rehearse everything I know of you, from Jordan depths to Hermon heights, including Mount Mizar. Chaos calls to chaos, to the tune of white water rapids. Your breaking surf, your thundering breakers crash and crush me. Then God promises to love me all day, and sing songs all through the night!. My life is God’s prayer.

Prayer of the Day

Faithful Provider

You who meet us in each bend in the river, remain even closer as we journey along what seems to be a challenging obstacle course.

So many of us are losing hope and are unable to visualize an end to what appears to be consuming our recognized way of life.

Help us to appreciate that through faith and your loving embrace, we are able to envision a new earth.

May we observe this sabbatical time as an opportunity to create and give birth to new traditions.

“We live in God’s world….
God is with us. We are not alone.
Thanks be to God”

Amen
