Beauty Found

Daily Message and Prayer from Rev. Mary White

Good Afternoon and Blessings

Although it is human nature to be in relationships, they do not always develop effortlessly. When first meeting someone, we usually behave at our best. That is, we draw upon all the socially acceptable manoeuvres that we can muster to be liked and acknowledged. But, if we are not conducting our self in an authentic manner then we will not be able to sustain, over time, those artificial behaviours.

Relationships are mutual and, to succeed, demand mutual respect.

Over time, I have come to realize that not everyone will agree with my ideas, nor will everyone like my behaviours. But I do expect to be loved as I love everyone. And it is through love that we are able to accept the beauty found in all our diversities.

Keep safe, Keep connected.

Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.

Romans 1:8-12 (MSG)

I thank God through Jesus for every one of you. That’s first. People everywhere keep telling me about your lives of faith, and every time I hear them, I thank Jesus. And God, whom I so love to worship and serve by spreading the good news knows that every time I think of you in my prayers, which is practically all the time, I ask God to clear the way for me to come and see you. The longer this waiting goes on, the deeper the ache. I so want to be there to deliver God’s gift in person and watch you grow stronger right before my eyes! But don’t think I’m not expecting to get something out of this, too! You have as much to give me as I do to you.

Prayer Of The Day

Source of Love

Throughout our lives, we are blessed with so many opportunities to be in relationships. Sometimes, we are so caught up in our own preconceptions that we overlook the openings presented. Help us to be more aware and enable us to see others as people who firstly need to be respected from a place of love. May we observe this COVID 19 solitude as a sabbatical time to discern what is truly in our hearts towards those we tend to reject. And let us seek that place of love for our brothers and sisters. In Christ we pray. Amen
