Message of the Day from Rev. Mary White
Good Afternoon and Blessings
A Poem by Joy Mead
ALONE
…in a cloud-darkened churchyard
I sit unnaturally still, wanting
the almost unbearable to be changed
into something tolerable.
There’s no consolation
in reason, mind fails
to ease the turbulence
which is quiet only
in connections, in the closeness
of trees and butterflies,
birds and grass,
and in the wonder of knowing
as the sun breaks through:
all life is here
and it is good.
Keep safe, Keep connected.
Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.

Isaiah 65:9-10
“Remember, in Noah’s time I punished the world with the flood. But I made a promise to Noah that I would never again destroy the world with water. In the same way, I promise that I will never again be angry with you and say bad things to you.
“The mountains may disappear, and the hills may become dust, but my faithful love will never leave you. I will make peace with you, and it will never end.” The Lord who loves you said this.
Prayer Of The Day
Precious One
You have made promises to us of love and security from worldwide flooding. What we observe around the world is this: a pandemic, massive fires, floods, climate consequences, melting glaciers, wars, and human lives lost. We pray for the ability not to focus too long on those things we have no control over. May we have the courage to take charge of our own lives and with determination live in peace with all creation.
Remain with us though all the mountains and valleys that life poses. These things we pray in the name of the Prince of Peace.
Amen
