Message of the Day from Rev. Mary White
Good Afternoon and Blessings
There was a time when I admired those who out of high school knew exactly the area of study they wished to pursue. But with life experiences, I soon discovered that there is no right or wrong way to advance in life. Experiences are equally important as continuing education. I have concluded that we are life-long learners and therefore are given the opportunity to expand our knowledge and contribute to this world as our Higher Power intended. So, now I also admire those young people who feel a calling to explore life and try walking through different doors before choosing an area they are called to pursue.
Keep safe, Keep connected.
Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.

Poem Excerpt from: “Acorns and Archangels”
FAITH IN A NUTSHELL by Carol Dixon
(A meditation on a beech nut)
Inside
this prickly shell
silky soft skin
cups
the sharp-edged nut;
slowly
the petals of the pod
open
and release the promise
of new life.
In this sweet seed
hides
a great tree,
the mystery of its pattern
dispersed
into the rich earth
to disappear and grow
in secret;
to thrust bold shoots
through
the earth’s crust,
until
the sturdy sapling stands
unshaken and unbent;
striving
towards its proud
and ancient heritage;
a blueprint
traced
in the beginning
of time,
when God
smiled.
Prayer
Empowering Spirit
You dwell in our every breath delivering within budding power and courage to be our authentic self.
May we know the potential in ourselves and see it in all whom we meet. Help us look beyond those guarded behaviours, the obvious, and have faith in the abilities hidden below the surface. May we discover the vitality within to be all You intended for us. We pray in the name of Love.
Amen
