Message of the Day from Rev. Mary White
Good Afternoon and Blessings
With all the information being thrown at us, and our minds working overtime, it’s not easy to be always present in the moment. We are bombarded with easy distractions by technology that thinks for us and guides our lives. Our judgements are dictated to us depending on the channel we are watching on television or on our computers. Self-care is not just a cliché, it is all about taking time for rest in the Spirit. This can be accomplished by taking an hour each day, turning off all your electronic devices and finding a quiet place to be in focus with your breathing slowly in and slowly out. If able, a walk in nature without technology is another way toward self-care.
Keep safe, Keep connected.
Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.

Reading Excerpt from Joyce Rupp “Essential Writings”
The One Who Is Always Now
Not even a heartbeat away from me
You, the One who is always now, always here.
It is I who stray in thought, word, and deed.
It is I who miss the miracle of the moment.
It is I whose rhythm disregards the heartbeat
Of your steady, reassuring presence.
Each day, to renew mindfulness of you,
Each night, to deliberately turn toward you,
To you, the One Who Is Always Now,
Whose love forever beckons me to be attentive
Today: I am attuned to the One Who Is Always Now

Prayer
Giver of Our Days
You who are always there in our moments, awaken our heart and mind to be more alive in our daily living. May we be mindful of our surroundings and appreciate the accomplishments of each task no matter how trivial or expansive they may be. May the labour we perform, be the work that shares God’s own life, which is one of love flowing out towards creation. We pray for the power and strength to be more attentive to life. Keep us from distractions, we pray.
Amen
