Advent Season

Remaining Faithful Message from Reverend Mary White

Good Afternoon and Blessings

We need this time of year, Advent and Christmas seasons, to remind us that the gifts of hope, peace, joy and love are always within each one. We tend to celebrate these gifts only a few months then, post-Christmas, we fall back into the humdrum of life. Routines that are familiar and comfortable soon seep back into our lives. We can make a lifelong transformation by consciously initiating the effort to embrace these gifts. For three weeks, each morning before rising commit to yourself the following: “today I will embrace hope, I will embrace peace, I will embrace Joy and I will embrace love.” As you live into these gifts, you will notice a change not only in yourself, but the greatest gift will be a noticeable change in those with whom you associate.

Stay safe. Stay connected.

Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.

Reading • John 12:24-25 (MSG)

“Listen carefully: Unless a grain of wheat is buried in the ground, dead to the world, it is never any more than a grain of wheat. But if it is buried, it sprouts and reproduces itself many times over. In the same way, anyone who holds on to life just as it is destroys that life. But if you let it go, reckless in your love, you’ll have it forever, real and eternal. “
