Message of the Week ~ Light of God Ministry
SOMETHING TO CONTEMPLATE
The main significance of Christ’s resurrection is that we don’t die. Certainly everyone’s body returns to the earth, it does not last forever, but that is not who, or what we really are.
What we are is everlasting. This is why our Spirit is holy, because it is eternally one with God, as realized by Christ.
It is really the body that is subject to duality. Health and illness, youth and old-age, pain and pleasure, birth and death. But the essence of what we are transcends, goes beyond, or is not subject to duality. These opposites in life only pertain to our worldly identity, not our spiritual identity.
When we contemplate the qualities of God like; eternal, loving, compassionate, all-knowing, infinite, unborn, power, cause, creator undying, then we gain deeper insight into the essential nature of who we really are.
When we understand and become identified with God as Christ did, then we too shall transcend beyond our earthly identity.

“Resurrection means ‘to rise again.’ What rises again—and how? Though restoring life to a deceased body, as Jesus did for Lazarus, is indeed one form of resurrection, what Jesus evidenced after his crucifixion was much higher. It was the resurrection of the soul into oneness with Spirit—the soul’s ascension from delusory confinement of body consciousness into its native immortality and everlasting freedom. Lazarus and others whose bodies were raised from the dead by Jesus gained new life, new opportunity for spiritual advancement; but Jesus’ resurrection lifted his consciousness beyond all relativities of vibratory creation and merged his Self with the transcendental Father, Absolute Spirit.”

Love is patient
love is kind
and is not jealous;
love does not brag
and is not arrogant,
does not act unbecomingly;
it does not seek its own [will],
is not provoked,
does not take into account a wrong suffered,
does not rejoice in unrighteousness,
but rejoices with the truth;
bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things.

Dear Lord,
We pray to thee with love in our hearts, a peaceful mind, and humble attitude. We are here to serve you, dedicate our life to you, and honour you amidst your creation.
We pray not to be forgetful of our true nature, as your dear and very precious own. May we see ourselves as you see us. May we fulfill the purpose that you have created us for.
May we follow your command from within. May we listen attentively at your doorstep. May we be content and fulfilled as we await entrance into the kingdom of thy eternal Self.
Amen
