Everyone's Deserving

Message of the Day from Rev. Mary White

Good Evening and Blessings

As you are aware, the Everyone Deserves A Smile Campaign 2020 is well under way and we still have an opportunity to give gifts to adults of scarves, socks, mittens/gloves, toques, and hygiene items. Size Medium for women and Extra Large for men are needed and remember when knitting or purchasing, some wool included is best for winter months. Our goal this year is 200 gift bags. Your items can be dropped into the EDAS box (created by Christine Boyd and Dru) by the United Church office door.

We may not be able to come together physically but we, together, are able to continue Christ’s work in our community.

Please watch and listen to the video below, song by Helen Austin from Cumberland.

Thank you for your generosity and loving-kindness.

Keep safe, Keep connected.

Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.

Romans 12:2 (MSG)

So, here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what God wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.

Prayer Of The Day

Embracing Spirit

We come together because our faith and Love are what we have in common. Like Jesus who had the sensitivity to feed the thousands, we through His example, share with our community as we are able. God, we ask for your blessings on the EDAS Campaign 2020. Bless each one who is taking responsibility to act on behalf of Jesus, serving with Love. Be with us loving, comforting Spirit, as we carry out Your will. In Jesus name we pray.

Amen
