Message of the Day from Reverend Mary White
Good Afternoon and Blessings
My sister, Sharon and I were talking about our past relationships with various family members and we both regretted not asking more questions about our ancestors. Answers our mother, grandmother, aunts and uncles carried with them. And then realizing that they held a lot of information close to their chest, we wondered how much they would be willing to share. I would have appreciated hearing the juicy secrets which would give a better understanding of what their journey was like.
Keep safe, Keep connected.
Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.

Excerpt from “Piano Man” by Thom Shuman
as for me
it was not
so long ago
i served other gods:
years ago, it was named 'fear';
last month, i kneeled at greed's altar;
this past week, pride seduced
seduced me;
yester (& almost every) day
i followed anger down
that potholed road.
even when
i put them away
in a box marked
‘former life,'
they try to
slip their fingers
under the edges
to push the lid off -
or swaddle themselves
in red and green ribbon,
so i will find them
under the tree;
so for this day and
(please, Lord!)
all the days to follow,
i will choose
to cross faith's River,
leaving them
on the shoreline
behind me.
Prayer Of The Day
Breath of Life
We are grateful for all the experiences laid before us along life’s journey. The knowledge gained are necessary lessons in order for us to be the people we have become. Help us to accept and appreciate today the joys as well as the struggles of our past. When we choose to cling to thoughts of previous negative occurrences, remind us that we are loved for whom we are not for whom we wish we were. Bless each one as we continue this beautiful gift of life. We pray in the name of the Spirit within.
Amen
