We Remain Spiritually United

Good Morning and Blessings:

The doors of the church building may be closed but we are not the building. We are Christians, the Body of Christ. And although we are physically separated, we remain spiritually united through our connections with each other.

When I have asked some of you about having enough supplies to sustain you, the response has been “I have enough for a week or so”. Most have family near by to help with fulfilling needs – the focus now is on our needs as opposed to our wants. But to those who are without family living near us, know that your faith family is here to help when supplies begin to run dry. It is not necessary to overstock items from the grocery stores. There is enough for us all to have our needs met.

As we journey together, physically separated, through this COVID-19 pandemic, we continue to Serve With Love.

Keep safe, Keep connected.

Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.

Philippians 2:1-4 (The Inclusive Bible)

If you’ve gotten anything at all out of following Christ-if love, or the Spirit that we have in common, or any tenderness or sympathy
can persuade you at all—then be united in your convictions and united in your love, with a common purpose and a common mind. That is the one thing that would make me completely happy.  There must be no competition among you, no conceit, but everybody is to be humble: value others over yourselves, each of you thinking of the interests of others before your own.

Prayer Of The Day

Gracious Life Giver, we are thankful for the generosity of those who share their skills and talents to help maintain safe communities throughout this country.

Yes, we are all at risk but we especially pray for them that they remain healthy in order to continue to serve others.

We pray for those providing much needed care to people in care homes and hospitals.  May they know that they are appreciated and we send our love to them.

We pray for all who are touched by this virus, may you find strength to continue on the path of healing.

In the name of the on who is Love, we pray.

Amen
