Message and Prayer of the Day from Rev. Mary White
Good Afternoon and Blessings
Thank God! Finally, my prayers have been answered. I wonder how many of you have thought or said this when you recognize that there was a response to your prayers? I say recognize because we don’t always know or want to know that our prayers have been answered especially when we don’t get the response we expect.
Rather than asking for things, my prayers are more like conversations with God like asking questions. As the day progresses, I am constantly giving thanks for small graces. A small grace could be a response from a family member or finding a misplaced item without too much searching.
My philosophy is not to be too overly concerned about the big issues because we may be overlooking the small things.
Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.

Matthew 6:5-8 (NRSVACE)
Concerning Prayer
And Jesus said ‘whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, so that they may be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward. But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Higher Power who is in secret; and who sees in secret will reward you.
‘When you are praying, do not heap up empty phrases as some do; for they think that they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your God knows what you need before you ask.
Prayer Of The Day
Breath of Life
You touch us God of grace every time you answer our prayers. We give thanks that we are given that which we need and can manage.
We ask that you sustain all who seek your guidance.
Keep us vigilant so we are aware of your will for us.
Hear our prayers and meet us where we are at.
Amen.
