Still Waters

Remaining Faithful Message from Reverend Mary White

Good Afternoon and Blessings

Just when we believed we were getting slowly back to some sense of familiarity, Mother Nature throws a curve ball at us in the form of major climate disasters. I wonder if we will ever understand the seriousness of how abusive we are to the environment. I contemplate if Mother Nature is trying to correct the damage we have done.

The blessing in such situations lies in the coming together of community in support of those affected.

I am humbled when grace is granted unexpectedly, especially when feeling a sense of loss. We are reminded that we are not alone.

Blessings and the strength of Love be with you.

“Whether in a Mosque, a Temple, a Church, or a Synagogue, the experience of God was the same. They were all welcoming and all spoke about their doctrine of community service and love.”

Rev. Mary

Reading • Colossians 3:15 (MSG)

Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to the Creator! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Light of the World, being grateful every step of the way.

Creating Creator

We draw aside from the routine of our daily lives with all the stress that we carry in our hearts and aching heads. We need your gentle presence to calm and still our weary souls. Be with us as we lay aside our cares and open ourselves to your Spirit.

Amen
